Scouters can earn the Council Trainer patch after participating as a presenter for District and Council training courses.
In order to improve adult leader training for everyone involved, several different training programs that had previously been offered at various times of the year were combined into one day-long, Council-wide event. The Program and Training Conference debuted in 2006 with a variety of classes for Cub, Boy Scout, and Venturing leaders to choose from. While still primarily an adult training event, it has expanded to include the Order of the Arrow's Lodge Leadership Development and a few other sessions for youth. PTC has become a successful annual event that is attended by hundreds of people.
